Why impact glass
Protection That Is Always On
- 01
No more shutter season
Impact glass is protection that is always in place. No panels in the garage, no ladder the day before a storm, nothing to forget when you travel.
- 02
Insurance credit, documented
With every opening protected, a wind-mitigation inspector can credit opening protection. We hand you the product approvals and permit paperwork the inspector asks for.
- 03
Cooler, quieter rooms
Laminated glass with Low-E coatings cuts heat gain, UV fading and street noise. Most homeowners notice the quiet right away.

Dennis B.Impact windows, sliders & entry doorsBBB “We found Prestigious Improvements at the Sarasota home show last year among a number of contractor exhibits. The bid and project was to replace an original exterior aluminum wall and storm door on the back of our lanai constructed circa 1985. … The windows and door are storm rated; the interior was finished to match the room walls, paint color and textures. While the project duration went longer than expected due to building permit issues and inspection scheduling, the finished product is well-done with quality materials and workmanship.”

For most homeowners, yes. Impact windows protect you 24/7 with no panels to hang, cut outside noise, block UV, and add security. Shutters cost less up front. Many clients start with impact sliders and the windward side and keep shutters on the rest until phase two.
Usually. Florida insurers must give credits for opening protection. To get the best credit, every glazed opening and the garage door need to be protected. We give you the product approval numbers and permit records your wind mitigation inspector needs.
1–4 working days on site for most homes, about one day per sliding door. Ordering takes longer: impact glass is built to size and usually ships in 8 to 14 weeks, longer in summer.
Yes. We pull the permit, schedule inspections, and prepare the product sheets and color samples your HOA or condo board asks for. We do not order until approvals are in.
We can write a scope that follows the program's rules and provide the documents it requires. The program has its own eligibility and funding windows, so check your status with the state first and we will build the quote around it.
Yes. We install impact-rated entry doors, French doors and patio doors in fiberglass, steel and aluminum-glass, including double doors with sidelites and outswing models where wind load calls for them.
