The right fix
Patch, Re-Texture, or Rebuild?
- 01
Targeted repair
Cracks routed and bonded, loose sections cut out and replaced, openings resealed, and the patch hand-matched to the surrounding finish.
- Best when: damage is limited and the rest of the stucco is sound
- Result: the most affordable fix that still lasts
- 02
Whole-house re-texture
Sound stucco is washed, repaired and bonded, then every elevation gets a fresh, uniform finish coat and full exterior paint.
- Best when: the house is covered in mismatched old patches or cracking spans several walls
- Result: one consistent look and a full reset of curb appeal
- 03
Water-damage rebuild
We open the affected section, repair the buck, block, sheathing or framing, correct the sealant and flashing at openings, then rebuild the stucco.
- Best when: there is staining, soft spots or moisture inside the house
- Result: the source is fixed instead of sealed in under a new coat
Order of work
Openings, Then Stucco, Then Paint
- 1Find the waterMoisture readings and sounding around cracks and openings, before any price is final.
- 2Windows, doors and garage doorNew openings go in first, flashed and anchored to their product approvals.
- 3Stucco repair or re-texturePatches around new frames and failing areas, blended or re-textured as one finish.
- 4RooflineFascia, soffit and gutters, so roof water and pests stay off the top of the wall.
- 5Paint, lastPrimer and finish coats over cured stucco, in your HOA-approved colors.
Every surface is finished once.
Our job photoHow a block wall stays dry
Stucco on Block Is a Layered System, Not Just Paint
- 1Concrete block wallThe structure itself. Block is strong, but it absorbs water, so everything layered on top has a job to do.
- 2Bucks at every openingWood or concrete frames anchored to the block that windows and doors fasten into. Rot here is where many hidden repairs start.
- 3Sealant and flashing at openingsThe joints around windows, doors and penetrations. When they fail, water runs behind the stucco instead of off it.
- 4Base and finish coatsCement stucco bonded to the block, then the texture you see. Cracks through these coats let water reach the wall.
- 5Paint or elastomeric coatingThe last line of defense against rain and sun. A good coating bridges hairline cracks; it cannot fix the ones beneath it.
- 6Roofline: fascia, soffit and guttersThey keep roof water and pests away from the top of the wall. Rotted fascia lets both straight in.
Know the signs
When a Stucco Crack Is More Than Cosmetic
- 1Cracks on more than one wallStair-step, branching or wide cracks appearing on several sides of the house mean the finish is failing, not just one spot.
- 2A hollow sound when you tapKnock beside a crack with your knuckles. Sound stucco feels solid; a dull, empty sound means it has let go of the block behind it.
- 3Stains below windows and slidersDark streaks or bubbling paint under an opening usually trace back to water slipping in around the frame or a failing buck.
- 4Rust spots bleeding throughOn frame walls and additions, rust marks mean the metal lath inside the stucco is corroding and pushing the finish outward.
- 5Damp drywall or a musty smell insideMoisture on an interior wall means water is already through the exterior. The fix has to start at the source.
- 6Rotted fascia and stained soffitsSoft wood at the roofline and dark soffit stains point to water and pests getting in where the roof meets the wall.
- 7A patch that keeps failingA crack you have sealed and painted more than once is telling you the real cause was never addressed.

Block Walls, Wind Codes and Weather
- 01
Stucco over block, and why cracks matter
Most homes here are concrete block with a thin stucco skin. Hairline cracks are normal; cracks wider than a credit card, stair-step cracks or bulging patches often mean water or movement. Those get fixed at the source before any cosmetic finish.
- 02
Wind-rated garage and entry doors
In the wind-borne debris region, a new garage door or entry door needs a product approval for your design pressure. An unprotected garage door is also the most common weak spot on a wind mitigation report, so we coordinate it with your exterior plan.
- 03
Weather and scheduling
Fresh stucco and paint need dry weather to cure. We schedule larger exterior jobs between October and May when we can, and build rain days into summer schedules.
Why homeowners hire us
What You Can Hold Us To
We find the water before we patch
Moisture readings and sounding come first. If water is getting in, the source is repaired before any finish coat goes on.
Hidden damage priced up front
Likely repairs behind the stucco appear on your estimate as a clear allowance, so you know the range before the wall is opened.
Texture matched by hand
Our crew studies your existing finish and recreates it, and we tell you honestly when a full re-texture will look better than a patch.
Trades in the right order
Openings, then stucco, then paint. One schedule and one point of contact, so nothing gets torn out and redone.
Your property protected
Landscaping, pool, pavers and windows are covered while we work, and the site is cleaned at the end of each day.
Workmanship warranty in writing
We walk the whole exterior with you, close the punch list, and back the work with our written warranty.

“We found Prestigious Improvements at the Sarasota home show last year among a number of contractor exhibits. The bid and project was to replace an original exterior aluminum wall and storm door on the back of our lanai constructed circa 1985. … The windows and door are storm rated; the interior was finished to match the room walls, paint color and textures. While the project duration went longer than expected due to building permit issues and inspection scheduling, the finished product is well-done with quality materials and workmanship.”

It truly is a family business and Tim and Vlad are extremely knowledgeable in the skills needed for executing replacement and installation of doors and windows according to county building codes. … Tim was very good in keeping us advised as to the timeline for the supplies and he worked around our calendar needs as well. We highly recommend this small, family owned and operated business!”

Most crack and patch repairs run $1,500 to $7,000 in 2026. A whole-house re-texture with paint runs $12,000 to $32,000 depending on wall area and texture.
Fine hairline cracks are normal in Florida stucco. Wide cracks, stair-step patterns, hollow-sounding areas or staining around windows can mean water is getting in. We test and tell you which you have.
Yes. Our crew hand-matches common Florida textures. On houses with many old patches, a full re-texture often looks better and costs less than chasing each spot.
Yes. Window replacement disturbs the stucco around each opening. Doing windows first means one patch and one paint job instead of two.
Paint and cosmetic stucco usually do not. New windows, doors, garage doors, structural repairs and new porticos do. We pull the permits that apply.
We coordinate wind-rated garage doors as part of exterior remodels so color, style and timing match the rest of the work, and the new door carries the product approval your inspector needs.
Stucco repairs take days. A re-texture and paint takes two to four weeks. A full curb appeal remodel with new windows and doors takes four to ten weeks, mostly driven by window lead times.
